Future Prospects is York's FREE employment and learning advice service, offering information and support on jobs, training, education, money and benefits. A team of Learning and Work Advisors based in communities in and around the York area offers one to one ongoing guidance and support. Drop-in sessions are held on a regular basis at various locations in the community.
In our Swinegate Shop you’ll find an extensive range of learning information for Colleges, Universities and locally based courses. Come in and ask for individual support & advice sessions on all issues around employment, training and education.
Our Employment Resource Area on the first floor is a work related information area holding all vacancies from the job centre, agency vacancies, latest newspaper bulletins, private advertisements, sample application forms, labour market information and job descriptions.
Our second floor hosts our learning centre where we have public access computers that you can use for work and training related activities.
Regularly we offer workshops that can help you to improve your employment or education prospects by developing your personal skills, Interview skills, I.T. skills, etc. Do not hesitate to ask our team on all issues.
