Future Prospects provides an easy access point for people
to start or build on their learning. We enrol for all of the courses at York
College, City of York
Council, Askham
Bryan College, Flexible Learning Centres and many other providers. We provide
impartial advice on the courses available and our primary goal is to help find the right
course for you.
If you are returning to learn, looking for work or
want to build some confidence, we have a range of first
step courses which develop your skills and give you a
better idea of your learning or work potential. After these
courses, free advice is available from experienced advisers on
what you can do next.
All courses provided by Future Prospects are free of
charge and many people are entitled to reductions from other
providers, depending on their personal situation.

Confidence
building and work preparation courses are also popular and
the Making
Choices course has accreditation from the Open College
Network.
Future Prospects has also piloted “Real Times,
Real Lives”, a new practical course designed to prepare people
for the world of work.
