Qualified Learning and Work Advisors from Future Prospects have drop-ins around York in a variety of accessible community venues.

They will be able to give free advice and information on the following:

  • Finding full or part time work.
  • Producing a CV, completing written applications forms and interview techniques.
  • Getting back into education.
  • Benefits and money advice.
  • Career change.
  • Courses available in your local area.

Future Prospects in:

Acomb - Appointements can be arranged at "The House", Hob Moor Children's Centre, on Mondays between 2 - 4 pm.

Foxwood - Foxwood Community Centre, Tuesday: 10:00am - 12:00pm

Clifton - Clifton Children's Centre (The Family Corner) Clifton Green Primary School, Wednesdays 9:30 until 12:00

Clifton - Burton Stone Community Centre, First and last Wednesday of the month 9:30 - 12:00

Bell Farm - Bell Farm Social Hall, Roche Avenue, Thursday 10:00 - 12:00pm

Tang Hall - Tang Hall Library, 5th Avenue, Thursdays' 2:00pm - 4:00pm

New Earswick - New Earswick Primary School, (Welcome Area) 1st and last Friday of the month: 9:30am - 12:00pm (Term time only)

New Earswick - New Earswick Folk Hall, Hawthorn Terrace, remaining Fridays of the month: 9:30am - 12:00pm

 


You don't need to have an appointment to go to a drop in, however it is a first come first served basis.

Other areas of the city are covered by monthly sessions and roving sessions. Home visits are available, where a client has difficulty accessing the service in any other way.
